INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO INFORMATION

The Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information marked the 21st International Day for Universal Access to Information, which is typically observed under the motto “You have the right to know.”

The Agency promoted the right to free access to public information in our nation as one of the basic human rights at an interactive event with a larger number of citizens in Skopje’s largest shopping centres (East Gate and City Mall). At this event, citizens got the chance to become acquainted with their constitutionally granted right to access public information.

Furthermore, the Agency’s director, Plamenka Bojcheva, appeared on the National Broadcasting Service MRT, while colleagues from the legal sector, Isamed Seljmani and Makfirete Morina, introduced viewers to the right to free access to public information and how to exercise this right on the Albanian-language TV program.
