WORKSHOP ON ACCESS TO INFORMATION ABOUT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DOJRAN

The team from Inkluziva, together with our director Plamenka Bojcheva and colleague Isamed Selmani, held a workshop for employees in the municipality of Dojran. During the workshop, the participants learned about the meaning and use of the right to free access to public information, the importance of transparency and accountability to citizens, as well as appropriate support for persons with disabilities in exercising the right to free access to public information.

During the practical part of the training, the trainers presented the analysis of the participants’ Internet site, after which they received appropriate instructions on improving its technical functionality so that people with disabilities have easier access to information. At the same time, they were instructed on how to improve the content of the Internet site in order to enable greater comprehensibility for persons with disabilities.

These activities are within the framework of the Project for Inclusion in Access to Public Information for Persons with Disabilities, which is financed by the “Open Society – Macedonia” Foundation.
