“POLITICAL PARTIES AS HOLDERS OF INFORMATION – EXPERIENCES AND CHALLENGES” WORKSHOP HELD IN MADRID, SPAIN
On May 6th and 7th, 2024, a thematic workshop on analysing/dealing with cases of free access to information, named “Political parties as holders of information – experiences and challenges”, was held in Madrid, Spain, organised by the Council for Transparency and Good Rule of Spain.
The diverse perspectives of its participants enriched the workshop. Plamenka Bojcheva, director of the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, and Petar Gajdov, State Counselor at the Agency, shared practical examples. Representatives from a wide range of institutions, including those from Estonia, Portugal, Germany, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Hungary, Spain, the United Kingdom, Albania, Kosovo, Croatia, and Luxembourg, and a representative of the European Ombudsman, also contributed with their experiences.
