ONE-DAY TRAINING ENTITLED “WITH TRANSPARENCY AGAINST CORRUPTION”

On 27.01.2024, a one-day training on the topic “With transparency against corruption” was held in Hotel “Millennium” — Bitola, organized by the Center for Strategic Research and Documentation “Forum”, with the support of the European Union. The implementers of the “Youth Activism against Corruption – Involvement and Participation” initiative and the project coordinator gave an introductory speech at the training.

After the presentation of the report from the conducted research on the distribution and use of the funds from compensation for the production of electricity from fossil fuels from the municipalities of Bitola, Novaci and Mogila, Petar Gajdov, State Adviser from the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, took part. Our colleague Gajdov referred to the mechanisms for requesting public information, bringing the concept of “public interest and public information” closer to the attendees through a detailed explanation and practical examples.

Emilia Misirlievski, a journalist at Telma TV and a member of the “Council of Honor” at the Association of Journalists, also participated in this training. Journalist Misirlievski followed the presentation of our colleague Gajdov, talking about transparency as a tool to fight corruption.
