CONFERENCE – INITIATIVE 2020
The fourth meeting of Initiative 2020 was held on October 12 and 13 in Dubrovnik, Republic of Croatia. It comprised state institutions in charge of the protection of the right of free access to public information of the member states.
Director Plamenka Bojcheva, together with Deputy Director Blerim Iseni and State Counselor Petar Gajdov, led the Republic of North Macedonia delegation on behalf of the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information.
At the meeting of the Initiative, Director Bojcheva and Deputy Director Iseni actively participated in the discussions during the two working days. They presented the situation regarding free access to public information in North Macedonia.
In addition, State Councilor Gajdov held a presentation on the topic “Comparative analysis of judicial practice in the proceedings after lawsuits related to free access to information”.
At the two-day working meeting, a number of topics were brought up. Moreover, positive practices were presented and exchanged, as well as fundamental problems outlined by the attending national bodies for the protection of the right to free access to public information.
At the end of the two-day working meeting, a joint announcement was released.
