ADVANCING ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY: GREEN TERRACE INITIATIVE AT THE AGENCY FOR FREE ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION

In a successful example of inter-institutional cooperation and environmental responsibility, the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information has transformed its terrace into a green space as part of an eco-initiative in collaboration with Mileukontakt Macedonia and the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.
The project aims to promote sustainability in public institutions and increase awareness of the right of access to information related to the environment. The newly planted greenery on the terrace of the Agency not only offers a more pleasant working space but also symbolizes the connection between open management and a healthy environment.
The director of the Agency, Plamenka Bojcheva, considered the initiative a success, noting: “This green corner is not just a matter of aesthetics — it reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and environmental care. We hope it will serve as an inspiration for other institutions.”
This project aligns with North Macedonia’s efforts to meet European environmental standards and provide citizens with access to information about the environment.
