“Pilot project for Early Warning System for Missing Children”
The Pilot project for the Early Warning System for Missing Children, which started in July 2021 and will last until December 2022, is being implemented by Human Rights Journalists in cooperation with the partner organisation EKPAT-Austria, with financial support from the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection. The project’s main goal was to start developing an early warning system for missing children through a series of activities.
Within the project cycle, numerous activities were held until December 2022, through the introduction of good practices through the involvement of various stakeholders in the process of eliminating child trafficking for labour / sexual exploitation. One of the selected institutions is APRFAPI, i.e., the right to free access to public information.
Encouraged by the excellent cooperation, APRFAPI and HRJ signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on December 26, 2022.
The memorandum of cooperation envisages the Agency and the HRJ Association, as well as other state institutions, to cooperate in the next cycle of the project mentioned above on access to free access to public information as a tool for faster acquisition of institutional information related to the protection of children from disappearance.
