LAUNCH OF THE TWINNING LIGHT PROJECT TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION

In the spirit of institutional openness, we would hereby like to inform you that the Twinning Light project “Support to Free Access to Information – Rising Together” (14.05.2025 – 18.04.2026) was recently launched, in cooperation with our partners from the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) and with the financial support of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of North Macedonia.

This project represents a significant step forward in strengthening institutional capacities and enhancing the system for access to public information.

We anticipate a successful and professional collaboration with the German experts, based on mutual exchange of knowledge, experience, and best European practices. Implementing project activities will result in concrete recommendations and improvements that will increase the Republic of North Macedonia institutions’ transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

The project is integral to our strategic commitment to aligning with European standards and reinforcing democratic principles by enabling timely and non-discriminatory access to information for all citizens.

With the launch of the Twinning Light project, together with our colleagues from the Federal Republic of Germany, we are opening a new chapter in advancing transparency and public access to information.
