ANALYSIS OF THE SILENCE OF THE ADMINISTRATION

 

The Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information has prepared an Analysis of the Administration’s Silence that refers to the period from January 1 to June 30, 2024. The analysis relates to the number of appeals submitted due to the silence of the administration and the holders of information who did not act within the legally stipulated period after the information requesters submitted requests, and the goal is to avoid this unpopular tool by the holders who ignore the submitted requests.

By processing the data for the needs of this analysis, it was determined that from January 1 to June 30, 2024, out of a total of 196 appeals submitted to the Agency, 142 appeals or 72.45% were submitted due to the administration’s silence.
