SIGNING OF A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION BETWEEN THE AGENCY FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE RIGHT TO FREE ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION AND THE GOVERNMENT

Muhamed Zeqiri, the Secretary General of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, and Plamenka Bojcheva, the Director of the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The memorandum is part of the activities resulting from the Transparency Strategy and aims to establish a partnership between the two institutions for the promotion of the right to free access to public information.

The signing of the Memorandum confirms the already established cooperation between the Agency and the Government for the promotion of the right to free access to public information and the effective realization of the rights and freedoms of citizens. The established cooperation will contribute to increasing the responsibility of the institutions by strengthening the active transparency of the Government of North Macedonia and its constituent bodies.

In this way, the consistent implementation of the strategic determinations contained in the Transparency Strategy of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia (2019 – 2021) is guaranteed.
