A MEMORANDUM FOR AN INCREASED JUDICIAL OPENNESS AND ACCESSIBILITY

To ensure the consistent implementation of the provisions of the Law on Free Access to Public Information and the realization of the citizen’s right to free access to public information, the Director of the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, Plamenka Bojcheva, and the President of the Judicial Council, Pavlina Crvenkovska, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The agency will monitor the online access to the court’s public records in light of Article 10 of the Law on Access to Public Information. The Judicial Council and the Agency have also agreed to collaborate to encourage the courts to update their websites following Article 10 of the Law and to make available all information that is of public and primary interest to citizens, above all. 

In the future, the courts will publish all public information on their websites to make it constantly available to all who need it, which will directly increase the transparency of the courts. As a result, citizens will be provided with streamlined access to public information.
