PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION REFORMS EXPLANATORY MEETING

The Agency’s Secretary General for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information, Tanja Kovachev, participated today in the explanatory meeting for the area of Public Administration Reforms.

The weight of the Fundamental Values cluster comes from the fact that it contains areas that are novel to the accession negotiations, such as the effectiveness of democratic institutions, public administration reform, and economic criteria.

Institutional efforts during this time will center on bringing public administration reform and civil servant skills according to European requirements and standards. Professionalism in government is crucial for fulfilling the obligations along the European path and for building an administration that can meet the needs of its citizens effectively.
